Volunteer With Restart Training Center Ministry

Serving with Restart Ministry makes a real difference in the lives of our students, families, and community. Whether you bring skills in teaching, mentoring, hospitality, administration, media, or event support, we’re grateful for your willingness to partner with us.
 
All volunteers complete our required steps to ensure a safe and protected environment for everyone we serve.
Step 1: Complete the Volunteer Interest Form
Start by filling out our GiveSmart Volunteer Form. This helps us learn more about your availability, experience, and areas where you would like to serve.
Step 2: Review & Sign the Confidentiality Agreement
Because our ministry works closely with students, families, donors, and sensitive information, all volunteers must review and sign our Confidentiality Agreement before serving. Please read the agreement carefully before signing.

Step 3: Complete Your Free Volunteer Background Check
All volunteers are required to complete a Pennsylvania Criminal History Check. This check is free for volunteers.
 
How to Complete Your Background Check
  2. Select “New Volunteer Record Check.”
  3. Check the box by Volunteer Acknowledgement Section and hit “Accept”.
  4. When asked for Requester Information, enter:
    • Requester Name: Your full legal name
    • Requester Address: Your home address
    • Requester Email: Your personal email address
    • Requester Phone Number: Your personal phone number
  5. When asked for Volunteer Organization Name, enter:
    Restart Training Center Ministry, Inc.
  6. Submit your request.

Most volunteers receive their results immediately. If your request shows as “Under Review,” you can return later using your control number to retrieve the certificate.
 
Download Your Certification Form
After your background check is processed:
  1. Click your Control Number to view details.
  2. Select “Certification Form” to download your official clearance.
  3. Save or print the certificate—you will need to upload it.
 
Mail-In Option (If Online Submission Is Not Possible)
If you cannot complete the check online, download form SP 4-164A (Volunteer Request for Criminal History Check), complete it, print it, and mail it in. When your results arrive, upload a copy using the form below.

Step 4: Upload Your Volunteer Documents
After completing all steps above, upload the following using the form on this page:
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement
  • Background Check Certification
  • Any additional required documents
